Bangladesh 152 for 6 (Sultana 58, Mostary 39, Maceira 2-23) beat Scotland 118 (Sarah 40, Moni 4-12) by 34 runs

Nigar Sultana‘s half-century and Ritu Moni‘s career-best four-wicket haul helped Bangladesh avenge their earlier defeat to Scotland with a 34-run victory in the women’s T20 tri-series in Edinburgh.

After being reduced to 23 for 3 inside four overs, Bangladesh were in danger of a collapse. But captain Sultana held the innings together with 58 off 47 balls, sharing a crucial 77-run fourth-wicket stand with Sobhana Mostary, who struck 39 from 31 deliveries. Shorna Akter added 20, while Moni chipped in with a late cameo as Bangladesh recovered to post 152 for 6.

Scotland’s reply never recovered from an equally damaging start. Marufa Akter and Sanjida Akter Meghla struck in the opening overs to leave the hosts reeling at 1 for 2, and although Kathryn Bryce counterattacked with 21 from 14 balls, her dismissal left Scotland at 36 for 3.

Sarah Bryce attempted to rebuild with a fighting 40 from 41 balls and found support from Ailsa Lister and Priyanaz Chatterji albeit briefly. Scotland were still within touching distance at 74 for 3 before Bangladesh tightened their grip.

Moni delivered the decisive blows. She removed Sarah in the 13th over before returning to rip through the lower order with three wickets in the 18th over. She finished with 4 for 12 as Scotland crashed to 118 all out.
