New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first in the T20 World Cup fixture against Sri Lanka in Southampton.

Sri Lanka made three changes to the side that lost to England on Friday. Batter Hasini Perera comes into the top order in place of Imasha Dulani. Sri Lanka have chosen to strengthen their attack bringing in an extra bowler. Kawya Kavindi (seam), and Nimasha Meepage (left arm spin) come into the XI in place of batter Hansima Karunaratne and seamer Malki Madara.

New Zealand had also lost their opening match, to West Indies, but remain unchanged for this encounter.
